At Brightmetrics, we’re continually working to make your reporting as accurate and reliable as possible. We’re excited to share a new processing capability that’s now rolling out to customers using MiVB analytics.

What’s Behind This Improvement?

MiVB’s underlying call data doesn’t always make clear who participated in a call, or when they entered and exited the call. This difficulty is built into the raw MiVB data itself, and one that every analytics provider working with MiVB data has to account for. Over the past several years of supporting MiVB, we’ve gained a deep understanding of these data irregularities and how to address them.

Our engineering team has now developed a new data processing method that reconstructs participant information with far greater completeness and precision than was previously possible.

Before releasing this method, we validated it against hundreds of thousands of calls across a diverse set of customer environments. In cases where MiVB’s raw data is especially convoluted, the new method resolved participant and call-leg details correctly roughly 10x more often than our previous approach — a substantial gain in precision for a data source that’s historically been difficult to work with.

What This Means for You

We’re currently rolling out this enhancement over the next several weeks, and your account will automatically transition to the new processing as part of that rollout.

No action is required on your part. Your reports and dashboards will continue to work as they always have, only with improved underlying data precision.

As with any significant improvement, we’ll be closely monitoring the rollout and investigating any reported data discrepancies to ensure everything performs as expected.
